Temperatures during this time range from 45 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit and bring about blooming flowers and trees that make spring a beautiful time of year. Summer arrives in June and brings hot days with temperatures typically ranging from 70 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit. Humidity is also high at this time of year making it feel even warmer outside than what the thermometer reads. July is usually the hottest month of summer with temperatures often reaching into the upper 90s or even 100s on occasion throughout that month.

History of Altamahaw, North Carolina

According to Allcitycodes, Altamahaw, North Carolina is a small town in Alamance County that was founded in 1777. It is the oldest settlement in Alamance County and is believed to have been named after the Native Americans who lived in the area prior to European settlers. The first settlers of Altamahaw were German immigrants who were attracted to the area due to its fertile soil. They established farms and built a small community that eventually grew into the town it is today.

In 1877, Altamahaw celebrated its 100th anniversary with an agricultural fair and parade. This event drew people from all over the state, and it became an annual tradition for many years afterward. During this period, Altamahaw was a thriving rural community with several churches, general stores, blacksmiths, mills, schools, and other businesses. The railroad also came through town during this time period which helped bring more people into town and increased its economic activity.

The early 20th century saw many changes come to Altamahaw as industry began to boom in nearby cities such as Greensboro and Burlington. This influx of new people changed the landscape of Altamahaw significantly; however, it still remained a close-knit community where everyone looked out for one another. In fact, during World War II many of the men from Altamahaw served their country proudly while their families back home ran businesses and kept up with daily life in their absence.

In recent years, Altamahaw has continued to grow but has maintained its small-town charm. The town now boasts several popular restaurants including a local favorite called The Gristmill which serves up southern-style cooking every day of the week! Additionally, several historic sites around town can be visited such as Bynum Mill which was built in 1878 or Cedar Hill Cemetery which dates back even further to 1777 when it was first established by German immigrants who settled here nearly 200 years ago!
